The idea is for like-minded amateur bakers to meet up to share their love of cake in different, secret locations. The motto is 'eat cake, talk about cake, and take cake home' - the best club in the world.
The Stamford Clandestine Cake Club formed in November 2012 and now has more than 60 registered members, although most meetings we have a core of about 15 bakers. Each month there's a different theme to bake your cake to; themes range from Around the World in 80 Cakes, Harvest Festival, Black Tie, Picnic, and Spring Fling.
