For Hallowe'en I made some spooky gingerbread biscuits - I know it's a bit late to post about them, but I'm forgetful, forgive me.
They were bat and ghost shaped. I wasn't sure how to ice them, however, so they ended up a bit random. But I really liked the red-coloured icing - really looked good and bloody!
Hallowe'en itself was somewhat disappointing. Only two trick or treaters appeared at our door, and in reality they seemed to just be two teenage goths looking for sugar, and not too happy about the idea anyway. They didn't appreciate me squealing "Oh, you look so scary!!" considering they probably hadn't got changed out of their normal attire... But the pumpkin looked good in our window nevertheless!!
Cakes make the world go round, as long as there's a nice cup of tea nearby. I'm an amateur baker, and organiser of the Stamford Clandestine Cake Club.

Christmas baker
I spent the whole day in the kitchen yesteday making Christmas treats. I was so tired afterwards I couldn't post anything about it! I didn't stop from 630am to 630pm (although that included 50 minutes stuck in the car in the snow).
The list of goodies is:
Marshmallows
Coconut ice
Gingerbread - a house and other shapes
A French yule log
Chocolate truffles with three toppings
Chocolate fruit & nut bark
Chocolate Christmas shapes
Phew!!!! I hope everyone appreciates them!
